Management Team

Peter A. Wardle, CEO

In May 2000, Peter Wardle co-founded P2i with Tom Butera (see bio above)) and has held the position of CEO ever since. He and Butera have been in business together since 1993 when they founded 2020, a New York-based, New Media firm. Over a seven-year period, Wardle developed key relationships with such clients as Kodak, Sharp Electronics, Kimberly Clark and InterPublic Group (IPG), establishing offices in New York City, Boston and Washington, DC.

A globe-trotter by nature, over the past 25 years Wardle has established company operations in the UK, US and Asia, and done business in almost 30 countries. Prior to founding 2020 in 1993, he spent 15 years in the automotive industry manufacturing and distributing components. Wardle graduated college in business and accounting.

Thomas C. Butera, Senior Vice President: Product Development :: contact

Butera is a graduate of Parsons School of Design in New York City. In 1993, he co-founded 2020 with Peter Wardle, a New Media and Web Development firm based in NYC. He is a founding stockholder of P2i, Inc. Prior to founding 2020, Mr. Butera served as the creative leader at Prudential Securities Design Group for almost six years. He was responsible for transitioning that company's processes from traditional design layout techniques to computer-based design.

Throughout his years in business Butera has led teams in the development of an array of New Media-based, business-to-business, marketing tools for such clients as Sharp Electronics, Lever Brothers, Lucent Technologies, Black and Decker, Alliance Capital and Monsanto.

Now as Senior Vice President: Product Development for P2i, Butera applies his years of traditional design and business experience to the newspaper sector. His insight and understanding of the print production process combined with his new media expertise is an invaluable combination.

James Zito, Senior Vice President: Sales and Marketing :: contact

As Senior Vice President: Sales and Marketing, James Zito is responsible for driving new business outside the newspaper industry. Prior to joining P2i, Zito was President of Sales of Vasont Systems a company providing content management software to customers such as Motorola, HP and Symantec. Prior to Vasont, Zito was President and COO of Progressive Information Technologies, a pre-publishing services company providing new media, composition & pre-press services as well as project management services to the educational book market. Previous experiences include: President & COO of Medford Foods where he led the turnaround of the company to record sales and profits, and VP & GM of Sargento Specialty Foods. Throughout his career Zito has been successful strategically leading companies into new markets and new products. He has also been a board member of the EF Hutton Bank, Riddle Memorial Hospital and a member of the Philadelphia Regional and National Young Presidents Organization. Zito has a BA & MA from Temple University.

Chris Mellor, Director :: contact

Chris Mellor rejoined P2i in December 2006 to spearhead the Company's international expansion. From 2001 to 2006 Mr Mellor served as Director and Senior Vice President of TVEyes inc. a leading company in audio/video search and monitoring. He established a successful overseas operation with multi year partnership agreements in major countries. Previously, he was Co-Founder and President of Infosis Corp., an internet electronic publishing business acquired by P2i in 2000. During this time, Mr. Mellor was responsible for operations in the UK and USA. After establishing a UK base, he successfully built a US operation to include multi year contracts with leading US Newspaper and Media Groups. He also extended the business into Latin America by securing local licensing agreements. From 1987 to 1993, he was CEO and Co-Founder of CRG Communications Group, a company that provided customized news agency services to European media customers. CRG was sold to the Press Association, the UK's national news agency in 1990. Mr. Mellor also served as a senior management consultant with P.A. International.

Cheryl Burow, Senior Account Manager :: contact

Originally from England, Cheryl first started working for Infosis in 1999 in the Web-site production department of the UK office, where she became Technical Coordinator. When P2i acquired Infosis in 2000, Cheryl spent 3 months in Kuala Lumpur transitioning products and training the new teams there. She then relocated to our US office in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and has been immersed in her role as Senior Account Manager since October 2001.

Kenneth S. DiStefano, Group Controller

Kenneth DiStefano joined the organization December 2002 to serve as Group Controller. In this position, he coordinates, develops, and manages consolidated financial reporting responsibilities and requirements for the Company, including the accounting systems, personnel and practices necessary to develop and fulfill quarterly and annual filings. DiStefano obtained his Bachelor of Science degree, Accounting Major, from Rider University. He has provided expert senior and executive financial management services for most of his 25 years as a corporate (private & public company) professional.

Heavy industrial manufacturing and technology environments dominate much of his background. Prior to joining P2i, he held the position of Director of Finance and Administration (for nearly eight years) with GE Conmec - a General Electric Oil and Gas Company. In such capacity, he had been instrumental in managing rapid growth and profitability, culminating in a series of mergers and acquisitions.

Prior to these accomplishments, he had honed his financial and management skills with other notable multi-unit, multi-national institutions such as Mobil Corp., John A. Roebling Steel Corp., and Instrument Specialties.
